Investing in our most valuable asset: You. We continue to explore, research, and implement new technology that we feel has a proven track record and can compliment our efforts to improve your skills and our performance.
As you know, we have installed a new motorcoach driving simulator in Hoboken and are currently using this state-of-the-art technology for new drivers, and as part of our continuing tenured driver re-certification process. We are also in the process of operating a pilot program in Perth Amboy for Drive Cam.
Drive Cam is a self-contained digital event recorder with wireless technology. The windshield mounted camera records only when an event triggers the unit by G-force impact to the bus. High risk driving habits such as hard acceleration/braking, impacts extreme acute steering are all examples of events that will be captured and sent to our network. Identifying high risk behavior will help us focus our attention on those drivers and not low-risk, professional drivers. This technology will also act as a legally recognized piece of evidence to clear you in frontal crashes caused by another vehicle. Additionally, you the driver will have the ability to trigger the unit to capture an event inside or outside your bus, should you feel the situation warrants documentation. Drive Cam is being utilized across the country in bus, truck, and limousine fleets and will soon become standard equipment in all commercial vehicle fleets.

With nearly 2200 people signed up to receive e-mail notices from Academy, it is getting much easier to communicate in a timely manner with our passengers. Safety Award Breakfast
The 13th annual Frank A. Tedesco Safe Driving Awards Ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2006, at the Hilton Garden Inn, At that time more than 200 drivers will be recognized for their achievements in safely operating a motorcoach in a challenging environment as well as the professionalism to reinforce our commitment to customer service.
